December

December is here already. This means that Oneted is slightly over a year old. Time sure flies.

This will be the latest project for Oneted this December: The Tailor Made Man.
Acts Church is doing their 3rd Christmas Play, also known as Actmas Play. The theme this year is : The Tailor Made Man. The production is under way. And with a week left to go, everything is slowly falling into place. As opposed to previous Actmas plays, this year's play will feature 3 local bands: Army of Three, Four letter Story and Oneted.

We'll be kinda like their Original Sound Track (OST) for the play. Is that cool or what? We'll be performing 'Go With Me' during the Actmas play. Unfortunately, Esther won't be able to join us as she is the star of her church's Christmas play. So we'll be a four piece band for the event.

The play will be on at these dates and time:
Sunday, 23 December - 10am
Sunday, 23 December - 5pm
Tuesday, 25 December - 10am

Oneted will be playing for all three sessions, at a particular scene, which I am not at liberty to disclose just yet. Just keep a look out when 'Go With Me' starts playing. We'll be doing it live:)

Do come and support! Don't just support us, but do support the play as well. It's gonna be awesome! I promise you! Come with your friends and family. Invite your friends and get the word out!

Oneted @ TnT X-volution

TnT X-volution
17 November 2007
St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church
Kuala Lumpur

St. Andrew's have their youth services once a month. Each time, they will invite a band to do some song presentation and some sharing. Oneted had the privilege to do a session with them.

We did 5 songs in total. First being 'Hosanna' by Hillsongs. We then did our own song, 'Fly', followed by 'My Hero', a Foo Fighters cover, but Paramore-styled. Next was 'Wake Up Again', which was also a Oneted song. We ended with 'How Great Is Our God' by Chris Tomlin.

Before we did the gig, we were warned that the people were very conservative. So we braced for the worst: an unresponsive crowd. However, the people were warm and friendly. They responded well to us, and even sang along. This was the first time Oneted did a casual cum worship gig. It was another eye-opener for us.

Oneted @ One Rock 2007

ONE ROCK 2007
Drug Free Generation
28 July 2007
Mines Square, Mines Shopping Fair
Serdang,Selangor.

This event was held in conjunction with a Drug-Free Malaysia campaign. Partly organized by Star Maker, Oneted was invited with a string of other bands to champion this cause, such as Army of Three, PG 165, Passion Youth, Bus Company, Free Fall, Beat the System and Crimson Epiphany.

We managed to perform 3 songs only due to time constrains. First was an own composition called 'Wake Up Again'. Then we did 2 covers: 'Fully Alive' by FlyLeaf and 'What I've Done' by Linkin Park.

Overall, it gave us an exposure of what it is like to play in an open, public crowd. The response wasn't so good as most of the people were stoning, but we're slowly improving on crowd interaction, which is key for any awesome concert.

The 'ONE' with the first post

Ladies and gentlemen, we present you 'One-ted'.
Due to forseen circumstances, hehe, we are still in the process of building up our blog.
So bear with us a little while.
Just a sneak peak, this blog will be where we announce our future gigs, post up pictures or videos, share our vision and dreams, display of equipment, ( if we have enough), link up with other bands,
and just chill out with anyone who drops by.
We do not request of your support for our band, but rather the support of the vision and purpose we share.

Our next session:

Acts Church Teenacity Service
Where: The Crib, The Acts Church, 2nd Floor Summit Hotel
Time: 1pm
When: 7th April'07

You can check out more details here.
